Side sleeper needs help!

Posted by Janey on January 16, 2003 at 20:09:35:

I received my CPAP machine about 7 weeks ago. I was first fitted with a Breeze with nasal pillows, and those didn't work well for me, despite changes in pillow size and headgear adjustment. My DME just fitted me with a Classic Comfort nasal mask and that's working much better for me...as long as I sleep on my back. But my natural sleep position is on my side and it's hard enough for me to sleep with the machine without also throwing in a new sleep position. Yet when I turn onto my side, the Classic Comfort mask leaks, so I tighten the straps but then end up with gouges on my face. This happens even when I hang my face off of the end of the pillow. Are there nasal masks that tend to work better for side sleepers?
