you didn't say what type of mask you have, but I have a resmed mirage , DH posted that he/she accidently put the straps upside down and have not had any problems with the riding up. I also put my hair in a pony tail to keep the top straps down where they don't slip off my head, the bottom strap doesn't ride up any more good luck
