DME is driving me crazy HELP

Posted by Niki in Dallas on January 23, 2003 at 14:43:42:

Sullivan VPAP II

I've been on bipap treatment (13/8) since February 2001. The doctor ordered a decrease in my upper pressure to 12/8 however, the resp. therapist changed my flow to 12 only...in other words, to a CPAP only.

Now the DME tells me my machine is NOT a bipap. I know the difference between CPAP (which I have lots of trouble handling) and BIPAP. My machine readout used to have one line that said 13 and the second line said 8. Now it only has one line that says 12.

Can anyone help???

Thanks.
