Posted by permagrin on January 23, 2003 at 15:39:30:As I posted, Mike had a really good response to his first night on CPAP with his new Profile Lite. It was awesome. He slept as quietly and still as I think it is possible for a human being to be. Last night, though, he slept quietly for about the first hour, and then he started getting restless. I took him to the bathroom thinking that might be the problem, but when I got him back into bed, he just could not get comfortable. He squirmed and fussed and fidgeted with the covers and his pillow. It almost seemed as if his body had just enough energy to be 'busy'. Does this make sense or has anyone had a similar experience? Should I anticipate this settling down or is it something I should tell his (almost unreachable) doctor about? Obviously, in a single-night sleep study, they wouldn't have seen this as he was probably so exhausted he slept peacefully. He takes one trazodone to help him sleep, but it didn't help last night - we were up most of the night. Today he is tired and not so chipper as he was yesterday and it's so hard to see - he's aware he's not having a good day, too. Care to share your thoughts on this? (Maybe it's something really common and I have just never read about it.)
