Pumping air into your airway may help you, pumping air into your bedroom instead of down your airway is senseless. The indications are that you have been losing pressure through your lips and that this reduces the effectiveness of the cpap. Is your heated humidifier empty each morning?
Note: even substantial taping is not a total prevention of mouth leakage, most tapes are not entirely lacking in some degree of porosity and permeability.
You should continue the strict attention to mouth breathing and perhaps get the machine's pressure checked.
