To "fog" - I'm curious about your reference to the heated humidifer being empty.

I started using heated humidifcation a few weeks ago and noticed the water level had dropped enormously by wake-up time each morning. I assumed this was because of the normal humidifcation effect, but after reading your comment, wonder if this is a good or bad thing.

Can you explain???
