I say buy. Considering that a machine that rents for $70 per month can be bought for $700, you're ahead after ten months. Plus, you don;t have to worry about your insurance changing, or a "flawed" study. Furthermore, it's not clear if you have the right to bring a rented machine out of state or especially out of the country.
