Is it the mask or the air pressure that you cannot tolerate? I thought that it was always the mask...for two years. It ended up causing a little claustrophobia. Gave up cpap for a while then tried again after a few years. This time I used the Breeze. Didn't get the claustro but still couldn't sleep. Found out the air pressure was causing central apneas and hypopneas. So it wasn't the mask, it was the air. Time of night was not relevent. May not be for you either. If the occurences are in relation to sleep state, you will have them everytime you reach that state regardless of the time they occur.
