Thank you for the interesting reply to this interesting question, Kevin. This is anecdotal (meaning it applies just to me - your mileage no doubt varies), but I am 100% compliant and wake up fully nearly every night after 4 to 5 hours and always during dream sleep. I usually can fall back to sleep without much problem after a few minutes.

Before CPAP, I would wake up gasping and/or have much-fragmented sleep. Now I do neither, except for this one "arousal."
