Can't keep my mask on

Posted by JBIII on January 24, 2003 at 20:24:22:

I can't keep my mask on all night. I wake up in the middle of the night or my wife tells me I am snoring and I put the mask on. I feel that I do this because I can't sleep on my back and when I am on my side the mask leaks, its uncomfortable, and I take it off. I use Ambien(sp) 5mg to get to sleep sometimes and I still take the mask off. This is getting very frustrating. I hate using CPAP and am considering surgery. My pressure is 9/4. Overall I am getting enough sleep to feel better but not my best. In general I think CPAP is ..... I do not want to continue using CPAP if things do not improve. I would rather die of a heart attack than continue as I am doing. Any suggestions to improve would be appreciated. I do not see all of you having a good time with this either. JBIII
