I just wanted to let you know you are not alone. Most of us if not all of us have gone through the trial and error phase of being on xpap. No one machine or one mask is good for everyone. I have tried 9 masks. Each has there pros and cons. Once you find something that works for you which may takes months and months and money, you will start to feel better. Once you start to feel better, there is no way you want to go back to a pre cpap life with fatigue and all the other symptoms.

I am fortunate to have a great sleep doc and have met some good DME people but I have had to shop around. I was so ill, I wound up in the hospital for 8 days. I was told that it was either bipap or a trach or death. It sounds harsh but I need that. I am a medical professional who has known about OSA for years. I have read about it and said it sounds like me but I never did anything about it. It has been 9 months of hell. I was on O2 for 5 months. Intially 24 hours a day at more than 4L. I now feel wonderful. I have lost 120 pounds and still have a ways to go. I am going for a re titration soon.

So stick with it. Vent with the people here because they been there and done that. There are also some sleep tech who also give some great information as well. I have learned a great deal from reading.
