I live in a suburb a little north of Seattle. My insurance is Premera Blue Cross. When my Dr wanted me to have a sleep study I called the insuranc to make sure it was covered. They said of course it's covered! Sleep apnea is a serious health condition! I scheduled my first study and it was a month before I could get in. It was almost another month before I had the titration study. Most of my expenses have been covered. I saw my sleep Dr at 1 month and 3 months after starting bipap. My next appt is 6 months from the last one. From the sounds of many, I am lucky to have been treated so quickly and to have a DME company that is so knowlegeable and helpful. I have to complete a compliance certification periodically for the insurance to continue coverage and as long as I am compliant with treatment, I am covered at least 80%.
