A ten dollar manometer would have checked your actual pressure as delivered to the mask rather than what the machine thinks is being output.

Running your hand along the hose during machine operation should detect a leak as well as would watching for leaks when washing the hose.

Glad you found it though. ANY unusual change should be noted. A sudden increase in water evaporation during the night has to have a reason and just because mouth breathing is the most common reason, doesn't mean its not an air leak instead.
