I'm not sure what is normal here, but it took me about a month to get in to see the sleep specialist. It would have taken another month to get into the sleep lab, but I agreed to go on a waiting list for a cancellation and got called within a week or so. Not much notice. They wanted me to come that night, but I didn't want to wait any longer. Then another month wait for the test results. It would have been another month for a titration, but I went on a waiting list again and got in again within the week. Then it took over a month for the doctor to read that test and prescribe the CPAP. The DME brought it out the next day. My insurance paid for the first study and the rest I don't know yet. When will they realize how urgent all this is????
