Well, I think I would fit your theory very neatly. I asked my general doctor why the heck I seemed to be in REM rebound for months. He was really stumped by this seemingly "overly prolific" dreaming. My auto-Pap dreaming sure does seem like the "normal" dreaming experience to me. My 10 cm CPAP dreaming experience seemed downright bizarre the whole time. In fact, at one time I described my "over dreaming" experience on 10 cm CPAP like this:

"Waking up in the morning after over-dreaming, I feel exactly as refreshed as I would coming back to work following a vacation that was packed with **WAY** too many activities!"
