I don't remember how many hours I slept that night, but it compared to yours. They didn't get Rem with me either, but I did have 13 apneas per hour. They did allow me to take my usual sleep aides, and I did take melatonin. I don't know if there are rules and regulations for this, perhaps sleepycoate or one of the other med professionals can advise. Maybe you could talk to your doctor and he could give a prescription, I know those are allowed for the study. Best Wishes!
