If you're in the U.S, and just need to buy a CPAP, you can get one new for ~US$600 with a built-in heated humidifier from a reliable on-line vendor. You will need a prescription, and I don't think that any doctor will want to write one for a study over one year old.

Since you're paying the bill, you can insist on one of the models witha built-in. See my posting on this forum in repsonse to somebody who is traveling to Europe.
