My insurance (Healthnet), too, will not pay for anything not pre-authorized. The rep that was here at open enrollment even stressed that, said if we were thinking of getting treatment or equipment and then submitting for reimbursement, just forget it. It will not happen.

So I've been struggling trying to get pre-authorization to purchase. They even admitted it "could" save them money; nevertheless, that is not within their procedural guidelines.

I will take up the cudgels and re-enter the fray as soon as I get some energy back up.
