I am now on a Cpap and am changing to an Autopap. If your wifes pressure requirements change during the night that is probably why she is on the Auto pap. The Cpap will be set close to the highest pressure that she needs even though she will not need it all the time and may only need is for a short time each night.

To me it will be worth the extra to have the Auto pap
