No, REM doesn't occured in stage 2. REM is a different stage, so it can't occured during stage 2.

According to one of my book, REM occured like that...

Stages:
1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, REM, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, REM, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, REM..... and so on.

So I think it's possible to have stage 2 without REM.

EX: 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2 ....


An instrument error or scoring error seems to me not very possible...
Am I right?
