Thanks for the comment D.H. but maybe I should expand my thought process a little more.

As I said in my post I have IH and OSA. They seem to be two separate issues. I've been through 5 sleep studies in one year and believe the treatment for OSA is appropriate and working. The third study was a PSG to validate my pressure at the time since I changed from a Classic Comfort to an Ultra Mirage. The pressure was confirmed at 13. Then I had a MSLT the next day to check for narcolepsy (test 4). The main reason for tests 3 through five was to determine if the lasting EDS was because the therapy was off in some way.

The IH seems to be more of a neurological problem and was probably greatly magnified prior to the OSA diagnosis and CPAP. My present plan, with the agreement of my sleep doctor, was to complete the 5th sleep study (in April) for establishing the appropriate BiPAP inhale/exhale pressures and then use BiPAP for a while to determine any changes. If the IH associated EDS is not significantly relieved by the change in therapy my doctors had agree to refer me to a neurologist.

My comment above was my true feelings written at a sort of low point. But that's the way I feel. It is so disappointing to hear the success stories when my road has been so hard yet so committed to good treatment. The IH is ruining my memory, my work life and my marriage. I want it under control! It’s only been two weeks on BiPAP so I’ll give it a few more weeks to see what happens. Then off to a new research project.

BTW my CPAP pressure was 13. The BiPAP pressures are 15/11 so there was a jump in pressure required to eliminate the apneas. Maybe my pressure was too low on CPAP. I am waking up more refreshed but the EDS still hits like a hammer early in the day and can’t make it home without the meds in the afternoon.
