I can see your point. Though I agree with the others that it is good advice and would marginally help at best, but the article does not specify "mild" OSA--only "obstructive sleep apnea". The problem I foresee is someone looking at this article and thinking, "Here's some tips. If I do this, I won't have to go to the doctor. I really don;t have apnea anyway." If it works, they may be lured into the false assumption that their apnea is cured because they followed these self-help tips.God help the Mayo-Clinic if someone actually died following their tips. Law suits galore if it can be traced back to their advice in that article. While not stating "you don;t need to see a doctor" the implication is that you can beat this yourself.
I rely on 3 people for my effective treatment--my Physician, sleep tech, and respiratory therapist.
BTW isn't a nasal decongestant an OTC medication anyway?
