Newly diagnosed-? RE: Study Results

Posted by LSUnTX on July 29, 2003 at 13:17:31:

Had both sleep studies done and was told that titration showed a pressure of 11 cm would help me. The studies show that with CPAP, RDI dropped from 15.6 to 6.6. But the details show that while obstructive, mixed and hypopneas all decreased, centrals actually increased from 12 to 19. Any ideas why that happens?

I'm trying to get adjusted, but my chronically stuffed nose is giving me some problems. Going to the ENT this week to see about getting that cleared up (pun intended). Also getting a heated humidifier soon (today/tomorrow).
