Posted by gettingbetter on July 29, 2003 at 19:38:55:Last night I forgot to turn on the heat to my humidifier. I was having trouble all night with mask leaks (Profile lite). Around 6:30 am my sinuses were very dry so I checked the humidifier and turned it on (this is even though we are in the summer and have been having rain most days). Only got one hour sleep after that, had to get up.
Noticed that during that hour the heat was on the mask leaks disappeared!
However, when I got up I had trouble breathing, had to keep using the inhaler. Still tonight, after taking a rather long nap today, having trouble breathing. Hopefully with sleep tonight, tomorrow the breathing will be fine.
Now I am beginning to wonder if some of the mask leaks that people experience without a heated humidifier could be because they need the heat?? Notice that I said SOME. I am a side sleeper and do get occasional leaks that I wake up and correct, but not almost constant leaks, like last night.
Wondering what the coorelation is with the asthma problems too.
Am tired so if I am not making that much sense, blame it on brain fog.
