My best guess – and it’s only a guess - is that your allergies are preventing CPAP from functioning at full effectiveness. It probably is functioning well enough that you’re feeling reasonably ok in the morning. However, you’re not well rested enough to make it all day.
Make sure to use the humidifier. If it’s a passive one, try getting a heated one. Hint, if there’s no plug it’s a passive one. All models with built-in or integrated humidifiers are heated, as far as I know.
More importantly, make the room where you sleep allergy-proof. Clean up all dust, replace all feathered pillows, get a good air filtration system, and never open the window during allergy season. Obviously, this means you’ll have to run the air-conditioning.
Another thing to consider is your food allergies. Maybe you’re eating something that you’re allergic to, but aren’t aware of that particular allergy. Try logging everything you eat, every time you have these symptoms, and look for a correlation.
