Here's the deal as far as I see it. All of the above..to a point. I only had mild apnea and did 2 somnos, a septo, and sinus surgery along with cpap treatment. I was hoping the less invasive procedures would do the job and get me off cpap, but it didnt work out like that. I still have lack of REM sleep without cpap. The combination of all of them together improved my situation tremendously! I am presently trying to get used to FF mask but the effort will be well worth it. In my humble opinion, studies are showing that OSA is a lot more complicated....pointing to things like neurotransmitters (lack of dopamine for restless legs and lack of acetycholine for apnea for example)and other neurologic things. As much as I hate to admit...the only thing that works for sure, other than a Trache, is cpap. Best to do all possible to make it work!
