It sounds like you need your prescription changed. In the U.S., only a medical doctor can legally do this. It's strongly advised if you live elsewhere.

My sleep doctor recommends follow titration at six to eight weeks after initial CPAP use. Your case clearly shows the reason. I started CPAP use in July 1999. My prescription was 11. It was raised to 13 in October of the same year at retitration.
