I started with a regular CPAP machine last fall. It was okay except when I would wake up in the middle of the night and then have trouble falling asleep again. Don't have that problem with my autoPAP. If I wake up in the middle of the night, the machine has lowered the pressure down to 10-11 and I have no problem falling back asleep. Otherwise, I would be fighting a pressure of 15. For people on lower pressure, that might not make any difference. Don't know.
