I would get a high speed rotary electic toothbrush and do this experiement...go from tooth to tooth with the electric tooth brush and work it along the gum line of each tooth. Keep it on each tooth until you get some foam. Stop the tooth brush and see if you can smell anything funny on any tooth. Rinse. Go to the next tooth and try again.

This is a test to find a leaking composite or amalgam filling. A leaking or failing filling can very well be the source of bad breath.
