We would hope your severity to go down with a 50# weight loss, but it not unusual for weight loss to make no difference. Nothing horribly out of line there.

About the one year of treatment -CPAP/Bilevel treatment does NOT reduce the # or severity of your apneas. It is more like eyeglasses, it helps only so long as you wear it. Compensates, not cures.

Bilevel PAP maximum setting? We have sent people home with settings of 25/20. Not all Bilevel machines can do that, but some do. I understand some will go as high as 30 cm pressure.
