Water retention

Posted by JTW1861 on September 04, 2003 at 12:29:26:

I've recently visited with my sleep doctor to review the results of my 2 sleep studies (to determine if I had apnea and a titration level study) and see how I was doing on the CPAP machine.

During the consult, he gets up, has me pull up my pant leg and squeezes my leg by the shin. He then nods and tells me I am retaining water and he seemed like he was expecting this. He then went on with the consult and I failed to ask him the connection.

Has anyone experienced this or can tell me what the connection is?
