Jennifer,

Whatever you do, don't give up. Half-pint has some good suggestions. I don't have asthma nor do I get panicky or feel claustrophobic but when I first tried that mask on I didn't think that I could ever get used to it. They sat me in a chair, turned on the television, and told me to relax and that I would soon get used to it. I was really tired that day and I soon found myself battling to stay awake and that kept my mind off of the trouble I was having breathing out. About a half hour later they finally said I could lay in bed and I immediately fell asleep. Before I knew it they were waking me up at 6am from the best sleep I ever had!
