Septo/Exhale

Posted by gettingbetter on September 05, 2003 at 18:17:45:

I am now doing well in my recuperation from my septoplasty, polyp removal, etc. Wednesday I was allowed to go back on xPap. I decided to try to CPap for the heck of it, since I went on BiPap originally because I could not exhale at a pressure above 11, and my CPap pressure was 12. My prescription reads BiPap 13/11 or CPap 12, so I wasn't going against medical advice to try the CPap.

Surprisingly, after the surgery, I can now use my CPap without any problems! I am again making up sleep debt, but do seem to have a little more energy, plus it is so much easier to breathe during the day!

At least now for traveling I can take the lighter easier CPap unit, and even use less power on backup with that unit, and then just use the BiPap at home until I get retitrated, which I still have to talk to the CPap clinic about.
