That is why I say surgery isn't for everyone and if you are thinking about it you have to do your homework. As a patient, you have the responsibility to seek second and third opinions, investigate the surgeons success rate, talk with former patients then determine if surgery is the correct option for you. For me, I would have chosen the surgery anyway. After not being able to sleep even on xpap then finding out that the xpap machines induced central apneas was the major factor.

I have never told anyone to have the surgery, I simply put it out there as an option. I still expect people to make up their own mind but also to research all the possible solutions.
