assume you mean what happens when you're hooked up to a cpap and the power goes off? had that happen to me before and it wasn't pleasant. basically, you wake up gasping for air and you can't get your mask off quick enough. that's it really. i wouldn't worry about something sinister happening, your system will let you know loud and clear something isn't right so you can deal with it.
