Good topic!!

I agree. If you're going to have a couple drinks anyway then it should be taken into account.
I myself had a good stiff drink on the evening before I had my sleep study. I was extremely nervous and thought it would help relax me. It did. The questionaire I had to fill out at the sleep study asked if I had consumed any alcohol and I asked the technician if I admitted to doing so would it cancel my sleep study and he assured me it wouldnt, so I answered the question honestly.

That being said, it has to be pointed out yet again that alcohol affects your sleep and has an impact on your OSA. I've noticed a direct relation between alcohol consumption and the occurance of apnea events on my Autoset Spirit's data readout. A couple beers with dinner doesn't seem to affect my sleep, nor does a late evening drink. But if I have more than that I know I'll wake up to find apnea events recorded on my machine and hypopneas through the roof.
