Christine, You have had some good suggestions. I hope these two comments are helpful as well. In addition to oxygen deprivation, your systolic (the higher number) blood pressure can become quite high, I have read as high as 300 mm Hg. Apnea can put a lot of stress on the heart. Since you are a relatively newcomer, "Promise of Sleep" by Dr Dement is a book you should get. Good luck.
