behavior of sleep deprived?

Posted by mobunny on October 15, 2003 at 16:34:42:

Hi, my husband has been diagnosed with sleep apnea..the typical cessation of breathing, snorting, sweating, struggling to breath through an obstructed airway, horrible snoring..etc. He refused to wear it for a year or so until I became angry, and now has been wearing it off and on. He has a plugged up nose all the time and is addicted to Dristan 24 hr which he has to take 2 times a day. He has a low sex drive and comes up with silly excuses why he won't make love...we are only 36 and he insists it is because of "our age". I'm umm very attractive, as I think he is..yet, it isn't enough to get him interested. Are marriage is good besides this.Is this typical for someone who still isn't rested?? It is "until death do us part for me"! I want to help him and myself in the process. He also claims the CPAP gives him sinus infection symptoms but refuses to see a doctor about any of this.Any advice, opinions and suggestions welcomed!
