I don't know if you have the clinicians manual that comes with the software, but it's worth a read. The Spirit oesn't respond to hypopneas. I need a machine that responds to both, because my airway is very narrow and hypopneas are a real problem. My sleep doc has indicated I need another machine for adequate treatment. For myself, accordoimg to my slep doctor, its definitely not ok to substitute hypopneas for apneas.I'm glad you feel well and your treatment is working for you.For some of us however, hypopneas can pose a real problem and I am in that category, unfortunately.
