A therapist working in cognitive-behavioral therapy may be able to help with systematic deep muscle relaxation. This is a technique where you "teach" your body to relax at the time or in the presence of stimulii that used to make you uptight, tense or frightened. this is the kind of therapy that helps people get over fear of flying, for instance. Hypnosis may also help. check with your insurance to see what resources you have. ... and after a month of REAL sleep you may not hate it any more!!
