Sleep Apnea & Weight Gain

Posted by terriingeorgia on January 08, 2004 at 04:15:50:

Since being diagnosed this past May, I've gained almost 20 pounds. It didn't help that I was taking Paxil CR for anxiety caused from having Sleep Apnea (Paxil has been known to cause weight gain). I started out at 135 pounds and I'm 5'2". I have had it! I joined the local Gold's Gym yesterday and I plan to get back in shape. I feel like since I'm handling the BIPAP pretty well now and treatment is in the works, I can do this with much more energy. I would love to hear from some of you about your experiences with weight gain because of Sleep Apnea. Are you doing anything to lose it, and if so, what?
