Do I have Apnea?

Posted by JAF2004 on February 24, 2004 at 08:52:01:

Hi everyone.

I am at wits end with a strange phenomena I have had for years and getting worse.

On the Onset of sleep, I often gasp and choke for air. The thing is I am still usually awake though close to drifting off. I do not and have never snored. I am maybe 10 pounds overweight. Does not seem to happen the rest of the night, once I am asleep. Thanks.
