I've have just gotten the results of my first sleep study - which shows I have sleep apnea.
My husband was diagnosed a couple of years ago. I'm joking with all and sundry about how hubby must have been contagious, but was wondering how common it was for couples to both have sleep apnea. Anyone out there?
Also, I thought I was fairly knowledgable on sleep apnea, but my results have proven otherwise. While hubby is simple with straight OSA it seems I had apnea, hyponea, and central apneas throughout my study. I had approx. the same amount of events for each.
I read the definition of hyponea but am still none the wiser or sure of its impact on me and as for the central apneas - well?
I go for a cpap study on March 27 to decide treatment, so that will be interesting too.
