Good nights, then tired again

Posted by Reborn on February 25, 2004 at 16:58:45:

Hi Everyone! I'm a Newbie - on CPAP for almost three weeks. It's very strange at first (the first night I thought it was funny to open my mouth a lot and hear my voice but I was SO bloated in the morning from swallowing air; now I keep my mouth shut!) but I'm getting some great nights of sleep. One night I slept only 6 hours (woke at 4 am) and felt just great all day.
My question to you is this: is it normal to have 3 or 4 great nights of sleep, and then have a bad night? Last night I slept 11 to 6 but I've been tired all day today. Not extremely tired like pre-CPAP but tired. Do most of you feel really good every day? With an occasional tired day? Is that normal? I got a contour pillow (love it) and am aware of adjusting the hose and mask when I roll over but I think I'm falling back asleep for the most part.
Thank you so much for the very helpful posts on this forum. I found sleepnet by accident, and it's so much more helpful than my doctor or CPAP supplier.
Sweet dreams!
