OSA and Cognitive Problems

Posted by cptamedd on February 25, 2004 at 21:12:37:

Hello,

I have been using CPAP at 10cm for about 6 months now. I'm on a military deployment stationed at 7500 ft. In addition to continuing to have extreme daytime hypersomnolence I am concerned about increasingly cloudy thinking and significant loss of my short term memory. Has anyone else had this with OSA? Is there a risk of permanent damage to my thought processes? Any comments on the subject will be appreciated. Thanks!
