Gosh, I have been on cpap for 5 years and I seem to remember going through that for several months. I think it is not a unique experience. Each person responds according to what their personal physiology will allow, and some of us recover from sleep debt faster then others. The important thing, is that you will be doing the best thing for your body by giving it the oxygen it needs to do its nightly work. A restful body and mind can only yield the best results and the longer you are sleeping without OSA, the better you will begin to feel. Just have to clear out all those lack of sleep cobwebs first. For me, after awhile it became consistant good sleeping, with the occasional off night due to stress of job, worry, etc.
