I can't say that I've had the experience of being "better" on CPAP. I went in to see the doctor only because other people told me that I was snoring and my breathing sounded bad. I didn't have daytime sleepiness or difficulty staying aware.

In fact, I've experienced the opposite effect. My daytime sleepiness and tiredness has increased while being on CPAP. But it could be that it would've been worse without it. I don't know.

However, this experience has made me question whether CPAP has helped me or made things worse. I'm still undecided.

I also gained weight while on CPAP. I did not lose weight on CPAP, although my eating is about the same.

You'll have to look to others for stories about being helped by CPAP. Sorry.
