Posted by green jeans on February 27, 2004 at 10:40:44:Newly diagnosed for BiPap at 12/7. Working on the 'research before buying' aspects. Initial sleep study experience showed me right away that a face mask would not be a good option for me (prone to exzema and face rashes already) Used the nasal tube for the study, and nostrils were sore for a week.
Haven't made my purchase yet...am intrigued by the Cpap Pro with the incorporated mouth guard, as I'm also a teeth grinder. Have only seen a couple of posts so far telling of trouble with lips staying in place over the unit or the pillows blowing away at level 10.
Would love to hear any success stories!
As with all of us, my funds are limited. I'm so confused about all of this. So far my phone contacts with local DME's has been very frustrating, as they all sound like used car dealers and seem rather slimy. Why does this seem like such a racket? I'm taking off an afternoon of work today to go and see several in person. Taking my pages of info gathered off the net...this source has been SO helpful. Thank you!
