Hi, I think the first night was the hardest. I've been using CPAP three weeks now. Each night it gets a little easier. I tried it the first night without the heated humidifier but I've used it every night since then. I also got a new pillow. I had a lot of trouble with mask leaks every time I switched sides. A contour pillow is great. The mask can just hang over the side of the pillow. I also had the headgear way too tight - you can wear it fairly loose. It seems to take some adjusting but I have been feeling REALLY good. I am so happy to have this solution to my chronic tiredness. I'm enjoying life again! Good luck to you.
