Cleaning mask and equipment

Posted by gerryk on April 13, 2004 at 17:26:24:

Any suggestions on cleaning your equipment. I mean the masks hoses and water chambers. I was instructed to take the hose into the shower with me and put some baby shampoo in it with some water and swish it around. For the mask and a water chamber I was told to wash it with a antibacterial soap such as dial liquid hand soap. I have been doing this, but I go through a lot of hand soap in order to get some suds in the water. The amound of soap I use looks like the same amount I use in a normal day. I saw a tube cleaner ( long flexible shaft with bristles on the end) for cleaning the tube. Are these any good?
